Clamp is an ongoing series that engages with the embodied intensity of rave culture, where physical movement on the dancefloor becomes an erotic, fetishistic exploration of endurance and transformation. Within the heightened sensory environment of the rave, bodies navigate pulsating rhythms that evoke states of submission and control, drawing parallels to BDSM dynamics. The work reflects this tension between constraint and release, as materials are pushed to their limits, mirroring the physical extremes experienced on the dancefloor. *Clamp* also explores concepts of temporality and form, as each piece is created within a strict five-minute window, forcing rapid interaction with the materials.

The fetishistic exploration of endurance and transformation extends into the materiality of Clamp. The deconstructed DJ decks, cables, wires, and speaker beams—components once central to the power dynamics of the club—are broken down and repurposed into sculptural forms. These elements, symbolizing both sound production and electrical power, are reassembled to mirror the body’s submission to rhythm and control in rave culture. By pushing these mechanical components to their structural limits, Clamp highlights a relationship between power, voltage, and transformation, questioning how bodies and materials alike navigate endurance in tightly controlled environments.
